In 2023, the NIKE AIR MAX 1 'SHIMA SHIMA' is back with the same design pattern originally seen in the '03 'Shima Shima' pack. This iteration features a leather upper with multiple shades of grey and brown nubuck accents on the Swoosh and mudguard. Inside, a textile lining with vertical stripes runs through, and Japanese Hiragana characters spell 'Shima Shima' on the tongue tag and sockliner. The foam midsole offers lightweight comfort plus an exposed Air-sole unit in the heel for cushioning.
